Cultural Transformations:

Two intersecting cultural trends continue into play throughout the 21st. The first one is the spread of Christianity to the Asians, Africans, and Native Americans. The spread of a scientific outlook challenged the Western Christainity. While the practices of a religion were being spread, the understanding of of the universe and the new knowledge that these people were attaining another "cultural."

The Protestant Reformation:

In the early 16th century, the protestant reformation completely ruined the unity of the Roman Catholic Church The Reformation started in 1517 but a man named Martin
Luther. He was a german professor of theology, composer, priest, monk, and a very important figure during this reformation. He was important because during the time of the reformation, he was a priest. He challenged the Roman Catholic Church with the , Ninety-Five Theses. Ninety-five Theses, propositions for debate concerned with the question of indulgences. This was considered the beginning of the Protestant Reformation.

Christianity Outward Bound:

When Europeans came to the Americas, they hoped that people would "become christians." Colombus even tried to bribe these people by telling them that they would give them "a harvest of gold, spice, cotton, aloe, wood, and slaves." (pg 652) Noone from either side had seen a problem with this so then they let the Europeans into the Americas. With the acceptance of the europeans, more and more people started to come over to the Americas and then started to colonize. The greatest success was in Spanish America.
