Industrial Revolution Chapter 17

The industrial revolution was a manufacturing process transition between the time of 1760-1840s in the United States and Europe. Some can argue that this was one of the most three or four most important things to happen in the history of human kind. With the start of the industrial revolution, their were new concepts being introduced for work. One of the most creative inventions formed during this time was the internal combustion engine. This engine generated power by burning different types of gases, oils and other fuels.

The industrial revolution took a lot of jobs from many different people. An example of this is, a shoe maker named Collin makes shoes at his house. He has been making shoes at his house and has been selling them for many years. During this time of making and selling shoes, Collin has an income for him and his family. Over the course of some time, different technological advances have been made. The advances that have been make are that shoes can be made at a faster passe then Collin can make the shoes, and the shoes being made at a factory are also cheaper to make which means they are cheaper to sell.

With the creation of big factories, these factories took many different jobs from people such as Collin. Many people had to move in order to live by a large factory just so they could job and prove for their families. Even through these jobs were taken from natives homeland, the middle class people thrived alot. This was because their was so much more work to be done now. This then caused massed production. Mass production is continuous production of an ideam. The way production was done now was totally different.

With now mass production being introduced into these big factories, workers are demanded to work long and hard hours. Some people worked with very low wagers and also thier were young kids working as well. With long and hard hours comes a huge mess. This caused a huge problem with sanitation within these huge factories. People started to get sick because of the types of working conditions they were in.
